What is OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol)?

OCPP is an open source protocol that enables communication between electric vehicle charging stations and central software (CPO platforms), meaning it standardizes the exchange of information between a station and its management system.

We can call it the “common language” or “brain” of the charging infrastructure.

What does OCPP Do?

  • Allows charging to be started, stopped and monitored
  • User recognition, payment information is sent
  • Fault, maintenance and status information is transmitted
  • Live consumption data is transferred to the management panel
  • Software updates can be done remotely

What Would Happen Without OCPP?

Each station manufacturer would have to use its own programming language. This would make it impossible for different brands to work on the same system. It would be chaos, just like the different charging ports of old mobile phones.

What Doldur Does?

DoldurApp works with OCPP-compliant stations and offers CPOs centralized management, making charging processes safer, more flexible, and more manageable.
